Anita Nair, arenowned Indian woman writer, constantly focuses on women's libertythrough her remarkable literary works. Through her novels, sheexpresses the difficulties encountered by Indian women in the patriarchal social set-up. Her second novelLadies Coupé published in 2001depicts how Indian women are marginalized by patriarchal repression in family, social, and religious spheres.
