Abstract

Frederic Jameson is a prominent American leftist critic who made a valuable contribution in the domain of Marxist thought. He rejected the traditional ideas of Marxism and gave a new impetus to the Marxian ideology seeking inspiration from many radical intellectuals of Europe who fled to America after World War II. Jameson is a prolific writer as he wrote wide range of works analyzing and investigating the contemporary Marxian thoughts and developing his own New Left Marxism. Jameson developed his own unique position by reviewing the major concepts of Marxism applying the idealistic theories of Hegel and Feuerbach.
